Leadership and Management Workshops
Potential Development offers a range of highly interactive workshops covering leadership and management skills. These workshops all place significant focus on the participants' needs and the learning is based around live examples or issues brought by them.
These workshops can be run for individuals or groups of up to ten participants.
Leadership with Style: "Thoroughly Modern Leadership"
Here the Kouzes and Posner model is used to define leadership and encourage participants to review and develop their behaviour in each of the areas covered.
Getting Your Message Across: "Structuring What You Say so that Others Can Understand It"
This workshop covers structuring general communication in a way that is clear and succinct, giving feedback to others and identifying our preferred communication style.
Listening for the Truth: "Hearing What People are Really Trying to Tell You"
This is a highly engaging Listening Skills workshop which explores the range of information available to us as listeners, how to elicit more information and how to respond to what we're hearing.
Developing Emotional Intelligence: "Handling Ourselves and Others in Emotionally Charged Situations"
This workshop draws on the work of John Heron and helps us understand why we and others feel the way we do. This in turn makes it easier to develop strategies to work with ourselves and others when emotionally aroused.
Managing Through Change: "Moving From the Old to the New"
Change is often a very emotional process and has very predictable stages. The more we know about these feelings and stages the easier it is to navigate through them, either for ourselves or for a team or organisation.
Delegation: "Getting Things Done Through Others"
This workshop addresses the common challenges in delegation, provides guidelines or when and how to delegate and includes a full delegation checklist.
Working with Difference: "Understanding Why We Act the Way We Act"
Here a model of human behaviour is used to illustrate the different approaches we take to situations so we can establish strategies to more easily interact with others.
Dealing with Difficult Behaviours: "Handling the Challenges"
How do we deal with those tough situations where people just won't behave the way we want them to? This workshop introduces strategies that we can use in a range of situations.
Managing Your Time Effectively: "Getting the Most From Your Time"
Everybody's perception of time is different! This workshop helps people understand their preferred way of working with time and provides a range of strategies to ensure that the important things get done.
Follow-up and Review: "What Have I Tried, How Did it Go, Where to From Here"
This workshop allows people who have attended at least 5 of the other workshops to review their learning, consolidate their knowledge, address current needs and plan their next learning steps.
